hi not much of a poster here more of a lurker i have a 1400 zetec s phase 1 if i upgraded to a 1600 zetec se phase 2 could i get away with just swapping the engine an engine ecu etc but reatian the original 1400 loom

 

Yes mate pretty much a straight swap but you will need the key which matches you 1600 ecu, but if your going to do it why not use the 1.7 puma engine? There's not a lot of difference between the 1.4 and 1.6 but the 1.7 gives you 125 bhp

 

Better still go for the ti-vct 1.6 much better engine. More work though
