Just a shame its in Germany - http://suchen.mobile.de/auto-inserat...ries=SportsCar

Just out of curiosity, how easy would it be to convert one of these to rhd?

Well at a guess you'd need a dash, steering rack, pedal box, maybe a new brake servo, so a few bits, but a DIYable job

Looks good, still a bit pricey tho especially as its in Germany. Must be getting rare in that condition.
As for the conversion - easy really as there are plenty of donors over here. If I were to do it I would do it properly and cut the majority / important bits from a RHD donor bulkhead and fab it in.
Donor would supply dash, pedal box, plastics etc etc

Much better pricing on those 2^^. So how nimble is a sierra then? Do they make chuckable cars the way an escort can be made?

There was one on Ebay UK last week that had already been brought in from Germany.

Surely they'd need a good bit of welding to convert from LHD to RHD with the bulkhead?

I quite fancy one of them when I've got the cash for a project, hence why I've been having a look.

It's been my intention for a while.....just aint got round to saving up a decent amount of cash.

You can do the full transplant of a RHD bulk head, screen out, thousands of spot welds to dill out, massive job but it has been done. Or just cut out the bits you need, and, as said above weld them in.

Robrs2 I think is his username? He has done it the easier way, he has a white mk2 2 door which came from Spain - he put a 24v in it and swapped over to RHD.

Its a right old laugh with google translate, comes out as a lot of jibberish - I've had some very funny messages through ebay with our german cousins!

Mine is German!

No, it's far too battered

It was brought 'home' by someone in around 2000, took a hit on both rear quarters (separate incidents) and laid up for a few years, then i buy it and leave it sat in the corner of a garage for, well forever it seems.

Finishing my 24v Saff rep this year then going to get stuck in.
