Default Measurements for MEF style adjustable rear kits.

Does anyone, by chance, happen to have the measurements and sizes of the items needed to make the rear end kit? Things like tube length, ideal wall thickness, joint size and thread etc. I want to knock a set up over Xmas leave but I'm not around the car to measure anything until I'm back just before Xmas which won't give me time to order the parts. Anyone shed some light? Ta.

I have the full MEF kit in my unit. I've spoken to Mark @ MK Motorsport about reproducing the kit if there is enough interest.

Not worked out any prices yet.

As a guide each link arm for my Escos cradle kit is Ł130 with rod ends and spacers.

Then need exta bits to fit in stub axle and chassis.

That's the problem, as the materials are so expensive the kit costs a fortune. I have a lathe and mig so wanted to save the labour costs and give myself something to do over Xmas.

There all 5/8 by 5/8 rose joints at each end TS10MX and TSL10MX for the left handed ones. I use Aurora rod ends, work out around 40 quid each with half nuts. I can usually get them around 27

This means all threads are 5/8 UNF and 5/8 UNF LH

I can get very very good prices on these be worth dropping me a pm if anyone is interested, its just the other bits im unsure of where the tie bar mounts the hub ??

Its something i want to do to mine also MUZ ive only just got my Leda's fitted.

What springs do you have fitted to yours MUZ ? Mine didnt sit no where near as low as i first imagined will put some pics up soon when i go to my unit

Muz some here if you wanna copy them. Off my XR3 not MEF ones, very similar as they all are. The rs16i had them as a race component.

I might have to give you a list after Xmas then. I have 270lb, 8 inch long, 2.5 inch diameter front springs and 180lb, 8 inch long, 2.25 inch diameter rear springs, but the rears are far too soft so will be going firmer. Sites nice and low though with plenty of room for adjustment.

I'll have to borrow them at some point then, Jano. Probably be after Xmas now though as I won't have time too order the parts. Nice one
