Default Seat Leon Cupra R 225

Anyone have any experience of these cars?
What are they like to live with as a daily driver?

I quite like the look of them and they are within my budget,
Do they handle well?

Good cars, suffer from boost leaks and the doors/boot and pollen filter all let water into the car

I read that all thats needed for a stage2 remap is a fmic and full exhaust system,

Heard that the rods are the weak point with some bending with power above 260bhp but alot of people still run 300bhp on standard rods?

Do most of them leak? If the pollen filter is anything like the mk4 golf then the trays can be replaced?

cracking cars, as said, go very well with a remap. not sure what they go for price wise at the moment. If you out your budget go for a Octavia VRS instead as i suspect these will be cheaper?

I've got a 55 plate VRS at the moment and its brilliant, i seriously cannot fault it

Cracking cars to be fair, I had a fully forged one running gt28rs etc. Was one of the best cars I've had, drove nice and handled superb. Really user friendly for every day use also.

seat sell a bitumen seal for all the doors they take about 1.5 hours per door you could probably do two in 2 hours you can also use this seal to fix the pollen filter

if the car is being out performed on fuel by an st then it probably has an air leak lol

I had one and thought it was pony.

Leaked like a sieve and had endless amounts of electrical problems.... not to mention the clutch pedal breaking and it being a common fault. WTF!!!!

A turd that looks good in my opinion

I've got one in platinum grey. Good car really. No leaks on mine. Ac fans packed up but can be fixed for under Ł30 with some simple wiring or Ł500 at the dealers.

I don't know of any cars that are without issue of some sort especially ones that are 7 years old. Plenty of knowledge on the seat forum to rectify the common faults.

Expect 20-22 mpg round town. 30-35 on a run.

Rods in the bam engines are good to about 320 ish bhp.

Good cars. Seen a few for 3 k ish.

Same engine thats in all Audi TT and S3 so metal power gains can be made for these engines. I had a early 150 bhp Golf GTI's and loved it but it had to go because of fuel costs.

Badget 5 is one of the top VAG tuners out there and many tuners over seas for parts

A Friend of mine has a Audi S3 putting out over 500 bhp mapped by Rick@Unicorn and i was told Crazycage on here was driving it when rick was mapping it doing 162 mph in 5th gear and still was pulling hard before shifting to 6th.

Dont get one m8, ours was nothing but trouble, engine management light was always on even though the diagnostics said the problem was fixed, turned out to be a small leak in a pipe, replaced the pipe and the light still didn;'t go out!! Then there is the leakin, bloody car leaked everywhere, raain was coming through the window seals, everywhere, we had puddles in our footwells all winter, summer wasn't a problem, btuit made the car smell damp aand moldy, a good sign to look for if you still want one, avoid the smelly ones lol. on the up side, handled well and pull right through the rev range, topped out at 150 on the way to cornwall.
