Default Series 2 RS Turbo £1800 ono

1988 E reg RS Turbo. Approximately 115k tax & mot til march 2013.

Good solid running car with a good spec, starts first time every time with no nasty noises or smoke etc.

It does need a few small things doing.

The gear linkage linkage needs adjusting as when engaging 1st its not pushing all the way forward into gear properly so somethimes pops out (Being honest on this as it only happens now & then) will do it if it ever stops raining, rear window wiper motor packed up, 90 spec spoiler needs painting & just a general tidy up.

The good.

Fully rebuilt engine in 2008 consisting of rebore to 1700cc new 1mm oversized Accralite pistons, Farndon steel H section rods, ARP bolts, stage 3 head with Kent cvh 35 cam & vernier pulley. Chipped ecu, stage 2 turbo, samco hoses, Pace alloy rad & intercooler, AP clutch.

The bodywork on this car is not great, looks mint from 6 feet but up close its not the best. To start the car was originally mercury grey as you can see under the bonnet.

The car is solid, arches are good as is sunroof area etc but may require a small patch of welding on the front drivers side.

The car also has 17" wheels with 4 new tyres, drilled & grooved discs, g-max shocks, full 4" mongoose exhaust, full black leather interior with "RS" logo on the front seats, alarm & immobiliser, boost, oil pressure & volt gauges. Sony CD player with kenwood 1000w amp & several speakers around the car. This car does need some love to get it looking abit better but if you want a sensible spec'd Rs turbo that you just want to drive then this is for you!

Comes with a boot full of spares including ecus, drive shafts, brand new polybush set, lowering springs, lights, metering units and more!

Running 12psi of boost & has 60+ psi of oil pressure when cold & drops to around 20 psi when at running temp.

Lots of paperwork & receipts for engine parts etc. No log book present new keeper will need to apply.

Ideal winter hack!

far from unbelievable mate when you have had 2 RS turbos for sale in a matter of months both with excuses for sale, plus the VW again with excuses.and not forgetting breaking a Focus ST
you carry on mate.its not a problem, not yet anyway
less of the "busy body" the Mod team looks into all posts that look a bit unusual.

If its still in your mates name he could get a logbook in a few days free of charge.

Don't get too het up about the mods,I had it before as I'd owned my own business for a bit and although I was out of the trading game a while some folk on here felt it their duty to "report" me for selling a car I'd owned and driven for a year.

Tbh specialist rs was decent about it all and got my ad re-instated and the car did actually sell through here.

I've had no hassle since as long as you stick to the 4 cars a year rule.

dont think you or anyone else can hide behind the 4 cars a year ruling,as it also ststes in the rules "if we suspect someone is trading" at the end of the day no normal man has 4 cars for dale per year now do they
