There was a guy in the for sale section who had an sr20det converted sierra 5dr drift car.
Can't see it being too difficult being a 4cyl turbo motor already rwd.
Great engine too.

To be honest mate, i wouldn't want to ruin a brand new shell with my project, that would be a crime i'm after an old tatty one that needs some TLC, but if i cant find one soon i will let you know. Cheers mate

i dont really see the point with an sr20 ?
with a rb26 or a 2jz yes but why not just use a yb ?
its a genuine question i dont see the logic ?

i like the idea
ok its not a straight forward bolt in conversion
but i bet its not that hard realy

it'll be a LOT cheaper than a yb conversion
and its nice to be a bit differant
go for it mate,
i thought of doing it to my mk 2 escort but opted for a yb instead
but the old nissan lump looks like its got plenty tuning potential and quite reasonable for prices

Because SR bits are the cheapest about at the moment and you can get 400bhp with no issues, plus it's unusual and i like unusual lol
I am in the process of buying another saff though and this might fall by the wayside to be honest, just curious to see who else had done it nd ws it worth doing.

SR bits are dirt cheap at the moment and it's usable power with no lag, RB26 and 2JZ are just to big and would completely put the car out of ballance. i was going to put a RB25 in my s13 but decided that it would make the front end too heavy and loose all balance, RB26 and 2JZ would be even worse. i think tht if you want to go for something crazy for dragging up a strip go for the RB or JZ and shed loads of money but for track and balance go for SR or YB cheap and usable, well cheaper anyway

cheers mate, very tempting....... there is a sR 20 mk2 on driftworks and i've seen it a few times at Lydden hill, looks and goes bloody awesome. i got lots of respect for people who do these kind of builds. Loads of attention to detil and when faced with a problem they don't give up they just carry on even through the pain and lack of money
