Can't really comment on your question but what I can say is in my experience 4 pot brembo's are crap

Compared to the cars I've has with ap 4 pots the ap's are in a different league in everyway

My evo 6 running pretty much standard power cooked its brakes big time within only 3 laps of Bedford autodrome

Well thats what i was gonna say in regards to pads, its not the calipers fault that the standard pads and discs arnt up to a track thrash and he coooked them, like anything for it to be used properly it needs the correct, discs, pad and fluid. Like i said ive already used these on my saph and they where spot on, massive stopping power for the money you can pick them up for.

Nothing wrong with the Evo Brembo's put floating discs on and a set of XP10 pads and you will change your mind!

I has them ferodo ds blardy blar pads and drilled and grooved discs
Braided lines and updated fluid from stevehill Motorsport and they where still pure shit

I put ap 4 pots with 330mm discs and reyland bells on the fez which is the other side off 450 bhp and tap the peddle and u will nut the windscreen and that's on a non assisted peddle box

Ap every time
Just my opinion

Yeah the ap bells and rotars I've gone for are almost flat, the bell sits about 5mm from the disc face itself, does that sound about right ?

Well my evo 8 brembo's and escos ap discs come today so i set to making a template and fabbing a bracket to see where i was with it all, good news is it fits but its very tight under the 18"s, ive taken some pics of how close, but i spose a miss is a miss?

Then here's a few pics of some ap's under the same wheel with the same size disc, as you can see there's not alot in it ?

There's a few refurb guides on cleaning up those 4 pots. Most say to remove the lacquer and re do them but I did mine with halfords calipers paint and new stickers. They were bright red at first but after a month the colour died down and they look more like the originals.
