Anyone done this?
Im aware of the tie bar mod and possibility of cutting the inner wing, esp if we plan to fit a bigger engine in the future.
What about the flywheel/starter motor? The 1100cc in there uses an intertia starter motor, whereas the 5speed bc box bellhousing won't accept this older style of starter so i can't use the existing flywheel... I can't put a cvh flywheel on it either as theres only 5 bolt-holes in the 1100cc crank.
Ive had a google up and can't find any details on the starter/flywheel mods.
Any guides etc would be great?

I did this mod a couple of times back in the mid to late 90s. If you use a 5 speed box from a MK2 fiesta its a straight fit with 1100 flywheel and clutch. You just need the Fiesta centre kit to move the tie bar over to clear the 5 speed casing. The 950/1100 only needs the inner skin on the innerwing removing as the engine sits over towards the o/s, however if you're converting to Kent engine in the future it'll need the whole wing cutting out. The kent engine moves the box over towards the n/s and as such requires a different cradle and driveshafts.
