Has anyone ever owned a reliable one ?? Did Ford ever build a reliable one. Had mine not quite 3 months and I wish I'd never bought it ! Would love to park it back at the place I bought it from and tell them to stick it where the sun doesnt shine. I dont think it drives right and they say its fine and its "just the way I drive it". It coughs and splutters at what I would call normal revs/speeds. They've had it back twice, first time they change the lambda probes, still didnt feel right so took it back and they claimed they replaced one of the probes because the new one was faulty. Still doesnt feel right but they say they've have driven it and its perfect. Wish I'd have kept my 1.2 Corsa ! Never missed a beat in nearly a year of ownership.

Its not as if its a high miler , its only done 61k interior is immaculate.

Its worse at lower revs. Its already had a new IMRC before I bought it. Lovely shiney silver box on the bulkhead (that I asume is the IMRC) I did notice when I had th bonnet up the afternoon that there is what appears to be some sort of temp sensor/switch tywrapped to the battery cover ! Should that be there ?

I should add that the people that I bought it from (used car dealer) claim to have had it taken to a ford dealer.

Maybe I should bite the bullet and take it to my local Fraud dealership and get them to plug it into their diag machine.

the temp sensor tie wrapped to the battery casing is believe it or not standard!

They all cough and splutter at low revs, its the map on the ecu.

Ive had a couple. First one ate the speedo sensors in the gearbox, the box itself was stiff to get into certain gears, the instrument cluster lighting kept randomnly failing. I crashed that one into the back of another car at 15 - 20mph and it bent the chassis legs beyond repair. Second one broke the DSi clip for the IRMC fixed it but still made a weird noise, ate wheel bearings, clutch cylinder went. Not the most reliable Focus.
