How do you fit an under bonnet rev counter for tuning (removeable)
Hi,
My S2 has a group A coil pack, and I need to wire up an under bonnet rev counter so that I can sort out the idle, timing etc.
Any one have any ideas?

i have a couple of ideas - set a mirror so you can see the cars, rev counter when you are under the bonnet, or use aTV and camera,
some add-on rev counters (eg pod mounted) just need to have a wire wrapped round an ht lead, and power connected from the battery, many have switches for 4,6,8 cylinders, and read to 10K or more, they can be quite cheap

To be honest, I'm sure you'd be able to run the red cable from the positive side of the coil... I believe thats a switched live (failing that, running it straight from the battery would do for setting up, just make sure you disconnect it after).
