Exclamation 1970 Ford Maverick

1970 Ford Maverick. 34,000 miles on rust free body. Original paint in good condition but does have some patina, excellent mostly original interior. This car drives very nice, turns heads and will run a 13.46 at 99.84 mph and probably gets 30+ mpg (I have never checked). Engine/trans look like they came from the factory.

Engine: 2.3l from 1988 Ford Turbo Coupe. Long block rebuilt 3 years ago. 0.030 over, new pistons, larger rod bolts, balanced. Ranger roller cam, adjustable cam sprocket, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, Walbro fuel pump, underdrive crank pulley, gillis boost valve, large intercooler, aftermarket wiring harness. Otherwise very stock set up that has been beautifully re-plumbed to fit. Exhaust manifold, all duct work and exhaust is all 304 stainless steel. Exhaust is full 3" front to back with Cherry Bomb muffler (not stainless).

Trans./Clutch: World Class T5. Professionally rebuilt 2 seasons ago. Steel throw-out bearing shaft. Mcleod dual friction clutch. OEM hydraulic clutch master/slave. Drive shaft is 3" steel with 1330 spicer joints. Custom scattershield.

Rear: Ford 9" narrowed ~4", 31 spline Moser axles, 4.30 gears, spool. Calvert Racing mono-leafs w/"slapper bars"

Interior is very nice: Interior color is black with black/white plaid inserts. Headliner, dash, door panels are perfect. Rear seat is original and has some UV decay. Front seats are non-original buckets.

Other info: Converted to 5 lug. Dis front/drum rear. Battery relocated to truck with master cut-off. Comes with Centerline aluminum wheels. 15x3 and 15x8. Rear tires are hardly used BFG's, fronts are in excellent condition. May consider swapping gears prior to sale.

There are a number of spare parts that go with the car including OEM bucket seats, spare motor, trans, flywheel, etc., etc.
