Default Ford Taunus MK4 stationwagon

I want to present to you the car that is always distinguished in grey mass of ordinary cars, this Ford Taunus MK4 station wagon May, 1979 producing, last month of producing of MK4. originality of machine is stored practically on 100%%, although there are some revisions concerning appearance.

A car was purchased hardly less than two years back, the state in the moment of purchase was very deplorable, a through blight was present, painting a pre-going proprietor was executed very off-grade, more precisely to say it awfully in general. a front pendant thundered, as a bucket with nuts, on seats the most terrible synthetic covers on of incomprehensible color were put, a carburetter required interferences, oil flowed from an engine, shock absorbers all were deenergized, also oil flowed from a gear-box, and other little things.

There were certainly positive moments. firstly in our country very rare basket, МК4 in a basket stationwagon it is practically impossible to meet, the salon of car was well saved secondly, even in a luggage rack, requiring lay the insignificant dry-cleaning plant carpet. the thirdly chrome-plated details were too saved very well, all lanterns whole, reflectors of headlights in the ideal state, and certainly motor in good condition, that for 30 was opened never.

in general a car very made happy and intrigued. and fell back in the soul. It was farther decided to restore a car to a normal state, to delete a blight, repaint and create individual original appearance...

later I will describe that was exactly done with a car. and while a few photos of present type of car

today's photos will show in what state a car was in the moment of purchase, I think these photos clearly will give a hint that was and that became:

Default first breakages and their removal

first of all found reason of unworking hazard light, strongly dirty contacts were in the button, farther replaced wires with an absent isolation,

and then began to sort out and influence a carburetter

Will we continue?

Driving pair of months on a machine and waiting till warm spring days, I decided to begin to put the basket of car in an order. first of all began with stripping of hearths of blight and preparation of machine to welding works.

taking off wings understood that here will be above what to do some work, although expected that all will be far worseъ

soon a temperature began to go down, a winter and unsteady thruster-on was approached on single turns began to show up growingly, and at the attempt of regulation of carburetter by chance regulation screws were chippy. an exit from the folded situation was found quickly.

bought on repair parts two analogical carburetters, and new repair complete set of gaskets and membranes for a carburetter

farther all on the set chart: to take apart, educe imperfect details, wash chemical facilities, to grind in planes, collect, influence, set on a machine, conduct the final tuning, and to be glad to life

As a front pendant of car required an urgent partition, awfully threadbare were all locomotive knots, it was decided fully to take apart the forehand of car, put an undercowl in an order, substitute some gaskets by an engine, to change oil on more quality with a molybdenum, to inundate a good cooling liquid, substitute the threadbare coupling by more productive from a 2.9 engine, and to replace much other change.

in respect of front pendant her was a bit to finish off, if to be exact a front beam undergoed to the revision, she substantially increased(because this weak point is in this machine, very quickly geometry of beam changes on our terrible roads) and fastening of shock absorbers is done under other.

after all pre-arranged works, a blight was remote, threw was covered by acryl filler and painted.

Default acoustics

music in a machine is very budgetary, radio-recorder with possibility of reproducing practically from all basic carriers(CD, DVD, MP3, USB, MicroSD, AUX), and coaxial loud speakers front hide under front arm-chairs, the back are in a luggage separation

Default Custom Clock

A clock was made individually in an only copy, all was begun with that in a standard device panel there was not a tachometer and there was a clock, decided to buy to itself a device panel with a tachometer, but in her there is not a clock other sensors cost in them place. it all was corrected, instead of bearing-out tachometer that stood in a tray near the lever of switching of transmissions, a clock was cuttings-in from an old device panel, they are mounted were in the corps of bearing-out tachometer.

Default wheels & tires

today I will tell to you a bit about wheels that is set on my machine, about the pangs of choice and difficulties that was to pass that wheels were beautifully contained in archs and ground nothing nowhere.

so one after another:

disks of production of the USA, famous in the whole world brand of Cragar, model of Super Spoke, breadthways 7j, and simply hellish offset - 13, and standard форд by intercentral distance 4*108 covered by the durable layer of chrome, real quality chrome that substantially differs from the Chinese imitations.

as soon as I knew that my good acquaintance is an offer for a sale these disks here not meditating bought them to itself, and it was difficult to withstand in fact a price was simply symbolic for such disks. the state is simply ideal in spite of that by him were already two years, unfortunately while there are not central dispersers on disks, them some vandals tore up знезадолго to the sale. a situation will be corrected in course of time. but now not about it.
the parameters of disks so much differ from plant parameters, therefore it is so simple to change disks did not turn out, for this purpose was to adopt experience for the admirers of стенс direction, first taking a welding vehicle and pair of pieces of pipe made adaptation for the pinning-out of archs, but construction of back arch demanded more powerful interference as a hydraulic jack. Due to these operations and correctly neat rubber, gaps between an arch and rubber became minimum, but it does not interfere with wheels to be calmly revolved and nowhere catch a wheel at a complete seamy side. rubber is neat with small strach because on a machine short springs and strach stand allows to be calmly revolved to the wheels even at fully compressed position of pendant
