Default Diff for ST Fiesta?

Quick one for you, does a series 1 RST diff fit straight into a Fiesta ST 'box? I think it's a IB5 and I have heard of fiestas running the diff but I'm wondering is it a straight swap with no modifications?

Cheers!

Ive been told it requires some modification to the crown wheel and casing, however not major work. I do not know the details of the work required though, sorry

there are two types of std LSD 6 bolt and 8 bolt
They will go in but the crown wheel needs machining.

you would probably be better off buying a quaife atb...by the time you start machining or customising an ST box to accept a S2 rst lsd!

Not really, cost is an issue. I need to rebuild the box in the furture and the standard diff is a weak point. I think it would really benefit from a LSD. I really get bogged down exiting the slower corners.

Plus the machining doesn't bother me, I can do it in college.

Is the S2 diff better? The ones I've seen done are all S1's?
