Default Any Reno techs on?

I said I'd do rear discs and pads on a grand senic these have an electric hand brake what's the score with them? I've read if you pull the release lever while pushing the centre button as you turn the car off then remove the key card the hand brake will stay off then you just change the pads as normal

dont know about the handbrake but when you get the discs, get the ones with bearings fitted. renault use a clip to retain the wheel bearing that you cant get out.

put the card in the reader, hold in the start button but DONT press the brake or the clutch pedals, after 5(i think) secs the ignition will come on but it doesn't start, now just use the lever/switch thingy to put the handbrake off, then just jack up and change pads as usual, been a while since i've done a set but i'm sure thats how i do them,
just obviously make sure you pump up the brake pedal after fitting but before turning ignition off or touching the handbrake lever/switch thingy again, as if the piston isnt pumped up the motors will have a hissy fit, the calipers are just normal wind back pistons, they even have handbrake ables going to them, the electric part is just 2 small motors mounted on the rear axle that pulls he cables on and off so nothing fancy like the passats and new audi's with the motor built into the calipers that need to be reset on the diagnostic machine, simples

Dont renault calipers have the wind back calipers which one is normal and the other side is the opposite way round. A normal wind back tool wont turn it back in.
