Alright my s2 is rotten to fuck going to cost couple of grand at least to put it right! I have found a xr3i with 37k on the clock how hard would it to be to reshell it my s2 is cossie managed is there alot of chassis differences? Also will my rs body kit fit straight on.

My s2 is a forged zvh so very high spec just worried about identity cos it will be a xr3i now any thoughts cheers

 

A 37k XR3i is likely to be worth more than an S2 replica. If that isn't true now, it probably will be in the future.

I would look for another cheaper shell - it's easier to check condition if someone else has already done the stripping!

 

straight swap mate just strip both and swap it all across

 

Just remember the car MUST run on the XR3i reg number and log book..

yup but a restored series 2 is worth a couple of grand more than an xr3i with an rs turbo engine so i would get on with saving your shell

 

Seen so many XR3i's, Bonus & Populars with RST engines in them fetch half as much as what a genuine RST would fetch.

Why not scrap the S2 and do the xr3 up, put your engine in though.

 

I can lift passenger seat up from underneath! Both rear arches sun roof! Nasty part main a pillar on windscreen has split n rusted
