Default P8 managed escos.... Boost control...

On my escos the bosst is controlled by nothing...

Yup good old stoneage running direct,

I dont like this and want to run air injectors,
What do i need to do (apart from buy air injectors lol)

Do they need mapping to the ecu?

Brieff spec of car is
300hp
Restrictor on turbo
Antilag
P8 managment
Light blue injectors

Runs 2 bar of boost bang on the dot!
But been told by 2 very "in the know" people i need to loose boost higher in the rpm.... Running direct isnt, so need some control on there

Any help apreciated

The p8 will need a pectel board or mod if not already done done an yes it will need to be re mapped to run the air injectors

Something about your spec isn't correct if you have a restrictor fitted and still have 2 bar of boost at 7000rpm mate so you would be advised to get it to a specialist to look over it and find out whats going on there. normally we want MORE boost at high revs not less, so your guys in the know may have meant something very different to what you think they meant.

Pectel board not needed at all BTW.

I am pretty sure it does not need a "Pectel board" as said it's just an output so in theory a mapped ECU for the injectors should be suffice.

The "pectel board" most speak of is merely a form of hardware decryption to allow, Pectel software to run, nothing more.

There is another one that allows 12 pot boost etc.

^^ beat me to it lol.

Hi stu thanks for reply,

How i understood it was running as restrictor with the antilag on i am on 2 bar boost by about 2500-2800 rpm,
But the boost needs to be tailed off because of the restrictor or the turbo will go sonic and the compressor wheel will be on the verge of self destruction..??

Its a group N rally car, high comp 300hp thing,

Go like a stabbed rat for the lame 300hp tbh..! And thats comeing from a 560hp focus
