Hi in just wondering this can be repaired as it seems to have just snapped off the rear screen on my winter daily...? Many thanks

Solder it back on and it will be fine mate

There are special solders you can get for fixing them

Let me know what you use as i've got the same issue, tried several different conductive glues and non have worked

use 60-40 rosin core solder. DO NOT USE ACID CORE SOLDER!! It will eat away all the metal parts over time and leave you with nothing.HTH

Solder works great - can't tell you exactly what kind, cos it was supplied lableless at work

But repaired many a terminal with a bit of solder - can work on some heated front screen terminals too (even the plastic coated foil strip tyes, if your careful )

Tried plenty of conductive glue and they're all shit. Even if you can get one to work, it either stops conducting after a short while, or stops sticking and it falls off again

mid 2000 mercs are shocking for doing this,

just be careful not to burst the window with too much concentrated heat
