Its actually fitted to a Firenza that's probably going to have around 250hp I just hope what I have said to him makes him rethink what he's doing.

Yes but he didn't seem to know much about the car and said he'd call back.

Other than 'its not the norm' and presuming its mounted securely, what is actually the problem ?

If you research braking systems you can find some 'factory' brake systems far more obscure than that.

So if he had a compressor on the engine, and a shuttle valve on the pedal to allow the compressed air to operate the hydraulics, would that be 'dodgy' too?

Im not considering the installation, more the principles.

its no different to fitting a couple of remote servo,s behind the back of a mk2 escort ,it,s probably better even though it has been done very crudely

Thats the difference. If its done properly its a proven system, twin pipe - twin servo etc etc.
This looks as though the whole braking system is reliant upon that ONE pipe and that ONE slave cylinder to do the stopping, and it doesnt look like its mounted too well.

Thanks for the smart reply Mark!! Where did I mention that in principal its a bad idea? The fact that the slave cylinder is only bolted on one side and under hard braking would flex badly is enough for me to consider it dodgy.
