Just a quick intro on my other daily, my 89 Escort 1.6i Cabriolet. Wasn't looking for another car particularly when a 'friend' of mine text me a link to BookFace with a Mercury Grey cabriolet for sale for £400 less than 10 miles away. Now having a perversion for Mk3/4 Escorts (Diamond White E reg S2 RST, Diamond White H reg S2, S1 powered/styled Cabriolet, Black F reg S2, Radiant Red 86 XR3i Mk4 being my previous) I had to have a 'look' at it.

I bought it the day I looked at it. Booked it in for an MOT (ahem) at the friendly local garage so I could drive it home and then left it for a month til I had enough money for an MOT proper. All it required was a bit of welding to the ends of the sills and various things tightened that previous owners felt didn't need to be tight

The car itself has an 18 month old mohair roof with new headlining (and reciept for £550 ), 4-2-1 manifold and full system and S1 RS turbo alloys.

Plans? Well I already have an RS Turbo engine lined up, just needs collecting. Also got a few ideas not normally found on Fords that I'd like to do but they all depend on funds as I also have my Herald and Volvo fighting for the attention of my wallet... Will see what happens...
