As above I'm after a limited edition saloon ST200,went to look at one last weekend,after a 5hr train journey each way,I didn't buy the car,very disappointing.
I have looked on the mondeo st oc and Ford st oc,gumtree,autotrader,pistonheads and e bay but nothing really up at the moment.
I am looking for a really nice example with reasonable mileage,good s/history and invoices etc,good paintwork,no rot,no dodgy clutches or h/gasget problems.

Instead of the astra or Cossie Lee? Good ones are hard to find. My dad has a hatchback st200 and he looked at 8 before he found a decent one obviously the saloons are much rarer so harder to find decent ones.

 

Sold the Astra,the cossie isn't going anywhere.Yes saloon ST200s are a lot rarer,as said the one I looked at last week was average to say the least.Yes I remember you saying your dad had a 200 previously.Has he had any problems with it ie.h/gasget or clutch etc

Cool glad u still got Cossie! No he's had no probs with his apart from people bumping it! It's only done 80k and he's only done 5k in it so I'm sure if u get a decent mileage one with history that's been looked after u will be fine. The egr needs to be blocked off on them as it chocks them up and lose power but it's easy too do. Their a cracking car for the money their going for at the mo!

 

Yes a lot of car for the money for sure,hard to find on the right side of 100k though.yes I know about the secondaries gunking up,clean them up and block egr valve off as u say 2 prevent this happening,I have spoken to Paul Evs,so gotta a good bit of info off him plus I have done my homework on these cars so know pretty much what the common faults/problems are with them.Just gotta find one now..lol.
