Default 2wd Gearbox mount

Interested in an uprated version for my T5 but would like to hear what's people views are of what's available on the market

I know the stories regarding VIBRA TECHNICS but are they that bad, i'm on a uprated diff mount and coil overs anyway so a few more rattles isn't going to make too much difference

Is their a poly style of the OE ???

The Vibra Technics gearbox mount has been changed from the original design so it's quieter than the orig design.

Gav Diamond asked me the same question before he fitted his as he was worried but he said it wasnt that noticeable.

I was advised to uprate the engine mounts at the same time so that they are of similar rigidity, so I have fitted all three a GGR Diff mount, Vibra Technics gearbox mount (make sure you get the softer road going version it's the same mount but it has softer rubbers) and got the Collins engine mounts from MSD ant to be honest I haven't really noticed much of an increase in noise or vibration like a lot of people have, but what it has done is totally transformed the way the car feels and drives.

Hi Chris , i'm using the vibratechnics mount on my 3dr with no real noise problems !
The one thing i had to was file two edges of the new mount for it to clear the gearbox bolts.

Chris,
As Dan has said..

There was extra noise on the initial drive but now after doing about 50 miles it seems to have settled down and is not really noticable.

Just put a new standard one in mate ........i had all of these uprated ones before engine mounts /gearbox mount/ diff mount made the car vibrate really bad i took them all off and fitted new standard ones ....

I recently tryed the poly bushed Diff mount , these are are ok no noise or vibration from them however i had to cut off 8mm of the treads as the bolts are too long

Marco,
The newer gearbox mounts are different to how they used to be.
They now do 2 versions, Road version and Motorsport version.

I have the road one and its fine, just gonna get rid of the Gripper diff now and all the noises will be gone (Diff is on Ford mount so its not the mount)
