Default Engine stopping when driving and now not starting anymore

Hi,
My 1999 Ka 1.3 engine stopped 3 times when driving :
1st time it stopped, i restarted it and everything was ok
2nd time i had to wait lets say 15 min and i restarted it
3rd time it never restarted, and pushed my Ka back home .

It just stop, no noise, no smoke, just a sensation of lost of engine power and stop.

The fuel pump is starting when i turn the key, the starter makes a "normal" starter noise.

Sorry for my english, especialy tecnical one, it's not my native language...

Any idea ???

Thanks

I've looked at the water container and nothing special only water liquid, moreover, i've changed the engine oil and the oil filter (ŕ few days before the failure happens in fact...) and didn't notice anything. I've also changed the fuel filter.

Thanks

My girlfriend had the same problem.

Unbolt the idler control valve on the side of the throttle body (i think was 2 8mm or 10mm bolts holding it on and an electrical connector) and give that a clean out with carburettor cleaner.

my girlfriend had the symptoms of driving and when coasting the engine just lost power

hope it helps

Thanks,
I',ve already clean it. I've also changed the sparks, the electrical wiring (sparks to ignition coil) and the ignition coil itself and it doesn't start anyway. It's like the car was out of gas, nothing but the starter...

The starter is doing a normal starter noise (it's almost new, changed 3 years ago). As i said, it's like there was no gas going to the motor (but the gas pump is doing a normal start noise when i turn the key).

You've change the leads but does each plug spark? Remove spark plug 1, plug the ignition lead onto the spark plug, with a pliers hold the spark plug near the engine while someone tries to start the car to see if it sparks

If it doesn't spark and you've changed your plugs and leads then change the coilpack which is under the inlet manifold
