Default Fiesta xr2i 1.8

Hi guys

we are looking at purchasing the above car to use as a track car are htere any things to look out for? is itlikely to actually be any good for a track car?

Spec list

Roll cage
2l throttle body
Re-map
Cams unsure on make
Stainless exhaust
Uprated brakes
Induction kit
Spax springs

The chap says there is no rust in the usual places a few marks on the body, but no service history.

Cheers

will need some more info on the car and depends what track.
just based on what i assume is a mk3 fiesta xr2i with a 1.8 zetec lump in.
will be good at Cadwell, bit breathless at silverstone. keep and eye for rust, standard it will be to soft for the track and the standard brakes fade fast. usually they are a forgiving car and very popular budget track car.
what sort of information are you after?

Make sure it's as rust free as possible. Stick a 2 litre in it for a bit of go. Suspension and brakes will need sorting as they're crap

Don't know if he is selling at the moment but he had mentioned he might as he wants another Clio.

It's a cracking motor and has embarrased some more expensive motors.

Was going to post a pic but photobucket isn't working :-(
