Default Best Winter Tyre, BMW m3 E46

Girlfirends looking to buy some winter tyres for her M3. Going to be on a different set of wheels so will be used for icy and snowy conditions only. Never had or used winter tyres so no sure what is best, so asking if anyone has recommendations for tyre choice. Seems to be lots out there just not sure whats best.

Cheers in advance.

I've got a set of hankook icebears (I am sure) sitting in the garage waiting on November coming around!

They done fine last year and I will get another set of them when the time comes.

I haven't tried any other makes so no real comparison or help lol

Running an M5, I use the same Hankooks as above, excellent in the snow, totally shite in the wet. My friend uses Vredestein wintrac on his M3, they seem to be really good.

Dunlop wintersport or Goodyear are OEM available for BMW and retaina good level of performance for conditions other than snow, remember most of the time its just wet cold tarmac they are running on and full artic winter tyres increase your braking distance by a lot on wet tarmac

Don't forget winter tyres are good for anything below 7 degrees C so if you get some use them all winter.

She is too, trying to get her to decided on a set is the nightmare! telling her to go smaller and skinny to help doesnt sit well as she thinks only 19' will do.

Cheers for the help guys will look into the ones advised and get ordering.
