Default mk2 fiesta 1.1 van what engine mods??

rite guys im a lover of original un modded fords just purchased a mk2 fiesta 1.1 van been stored 15yrs light body restoration original engine has long gone but included in the sale is a 1.6 diesel engine & 5 spd box.

question is what cheap engine mods are about can get a 1.0 ohv n box for £100 keep it original or should i mod it a little??

answers plz guys n girls???

With it being a 1.0 you could throw loads at it and get pretty much nowhere, such a little engine they don't really have much potential. You could keep it a 1.0 and fit an Ecoboost 3cylinder

Probably jetting the carb, a decent filter a good service? Just not worth it in a 1.0 really.

Some pics of it would be lovely though

2L Zetec is virtually a straight fitment on these engine mounts will need fabrication, apart from that you have the CVH route.

there is no original engine

so thats what im wondering

cvh or zetec & if so what do i need going from a ohv regarding wiring etc

Talk to some one like delta Motorsport who do historic race cars and get a screamer built for it !

Your best bet is to just either get an XR2 and swap everything over, or fit a zetec, zetecs have been done loads or times so it should be easy enough.

I'd go mondeo td and whack up the boost/pump to get a nice 140 odd bhp with big torque and high mpg.
Bombproof reliability as well.

i had one for a first car xr2 kit ,lasted one day with the 1.1 engine,had a trip the scrappy fitted a 1.6 orion engine an 5 speed box ,droped straight in and was 3 wires to change on dizzy ,but that was quite few years ago probly fit a zetec these days

Just throw in a simple 1.8 zetec silvertop but please dont mess about with xr2 kits if its not an xr2
Unless your not a fan of your arches and sills anyway

had a couple of hours on her expected the worst but on removng the interior to find really good floors. just need to weld up the handbrake mount. very happy indeed

jhon mate it easy anuff to put a zetec engine in 1. bike carbs u can use ford esc or mega jolt
