Aero wiper blade question ?
Hello all you lovely people of PF,
I'm looking for a quick bit of advice on some aero retro fit wiper blades.
They are getting good reviews though no mention of the size of the previous blades, And at £6 with halfrauds selling similar at £30 seems a pretty good deal.
They are, drivers side 22" passenger 19"
Just had a look at the standard ones on my baby ( 04 ST170 )
and they are drivers 26" and passenger 16"
Will they be ok or would they cause problems ?
Thank you in advance for any feedback and/or advice you guys have to offer.

no problem, your view in the rain on the passenger side would be horrible with only a 16" blade, sounds like the last owner just threw whatever they had on the car

26/16 may be wrong (and I would have thought would actually clash) but you can vary the numbers a bit.
I've got Aero blades on my Mk1 Focus and after trying various combinations now have 24" and 17", I find that gives a better coverage than the standard 22/19.

Got Bosch on my impreza but the lift in the middle during use at 110mph and above,,,, discovered if you slow down they work fine again
Ps: never follow Si B through Germany when raining if he is trying to catch up with he convoy,,,,, his car spits up loads of water too and I used a lot of fuel lol

I bought a cheapo set (look exactly the same as the Amazon link ones) for my IS; 22 and 19, from ebay, about five and a half quid delivered. Seem fine so far; silent, don't streak, judder or skip. Might only last a year, but as someone else said, the Halfords ones probably won't last any longer (and even with trade discount they are £19)
You get what you pay for.
Bosch invented the aerotwin design and the genuine parts are superior in every aspect- the standard of components and materials used, rubber formulations, aerodynamic control and longevity.
The rerofit range, although not an OEM product, uses the same technology.
Most non Bosch products using the Aerotwin concept are basically copies and in general of inferior quality, so be careful- there are many products advertised as Bosch, but not Bosch.
Best to double check.

In essence no.
The OE aerotwins can only be fitted to models where later versions of the same vehicle had them subsequently specified. Eg, MK4 Golf. You fit the later arms and off you go.
It may be possible on a saphire but purely by trial and error with assorted arms, but a costly and possibly fruitless exercise.
The retrofit rout may be the easiest answer.
