As above... Don't really know what to do... I'm in no need to sell but feel I could do ther things... I know on various other thread to people that I would never sell up... But after waking up this morning and taking my head out if the cornflakes...I really think I could sell and move on with my life...
The strangest thing is how would I go about putting a price on it...and what could I replace it with... I really fancy buying a modern diesel car one that I can use everyday and take up scuba diving.
I'm really in a pickle on what to as I'm feeling no love for it anymore.

The love doesn't last forever so if you have any doubts sell up,but i wouldn't sell it coss your thinking of going diesel,i'm sure you'd soon get bored with that, better to plow the money in to a hobby you can see yourself doing for a number of years...scuba diving sounds cool, the money you receive for your cossi will pay for all that plus the dream locations to go do it....all in my humble opinion mind...

Stick it in the garage & throw the key away mate sell the mk1 focus rs & but a newer diesel , you will only get the itch & never be able to replace what you had - i done this when i sold my escort cosworth back in 2001 & ive had no joke about 35 cars & never been happy ever since andrew gallacher said back then not to sell it stick it away i didnt listen but wish i did.

I respect everyones opinion mate we all see things diiferently in life... I could afford to do the things without selling but if I'm not happy them why should I have all that money tied up in a garage ornament....I'm fed Up with speed also so a desels that's practical will to tbh.
there comes a time when everyone has to move on Matt as my days of cossie ownership are over forever some years back, I simply potter around in normal fords nowadays and still have a hobby capri pugged away if I get the urge, enjoy life and the freedom and quality of life it may bring you with its sale

330d does sound like a good idea Matt plus still possible for a bit of fun as well mate.
You have nothing to lose by putting it up for sale and see what happens, you don't need to give it away so any stupid offers will get the finger.
I don't think you will have any problems selling as it is how alot of people would like a 3 Door to be (ie Hocks or Standard Wheels + sensible power).
Good Luck eitherway

Yea cheers mate....
As said mat put back to 100% standard
Sell all the goodies
I think it will command a higher price standard tbh
Keep the focus rs for possing about in and 535d has to be on the cards
At the end of the day it's only tin and rubber and once gone your licence is a little more safe lol

I am the same as you, the price of fuel has really taken the fun out of fast cars being a hobby for me.
I am selling my RS. Would keep it if I had somewhere to store. Putting my money into another hobby, something that is not taxed as much

Bloody hell mat how about selling and have a play with the frs?? That way you still have a nice quick toy for when you fancy a blast and a sensible everyday car with money in the bank to do your scuba diving? Just a thought mate
I once loved my Sierra but towards the end it was basically a suitcase full of money in the garage doing nothing...
Certainly not giving me the fun back for the cash invested..plus I just didn't have the spare time to use it....
Had to go,never regretted it.
Nice 335d with plush interior sounds like the way to go Matt...

You sound exactly how I feel at the moment Matt, I really can't decide what to do with my stuff, one minute I want to keep it, then next I want to get rid, If the truth were told I haven't really missed driving mine at all since the crash and have really enjoyed not spending all my time and money on the thing. Hence the st, just get in, drive it, wash it, no mither.
If the love's gone mate its gone unfortunately

I have a 330d and scuba but still keep my fiesta RST for the odd weekend "jaunt" when I finally get round to it I will do a decent road trip in it!
My advice is put the toy away in a "car coon" for the winter don't spend any money on it (if you can) try out scuba somewhere like sharm el sheikh it's amazing! and then next spring when the weather is better take it out very early on Sunday morning and see it it puts a smile on your face again - if it does keep it get rid if some other toys get the 330d or equivalent, have fun in the cossi in summer & scuba in winter for now on!!!!!!!

Once the love has gone, it's gone. And you'll find you could have the thoughts in your head for a while, but it really will be a wake up one morning, and just realise it.
Also, as per CossieRich!

You know what they say Matt:
Act in haste....repent at leisure.
You have that 3dr looking sweet as & with the way things are going, the value is only going to increase & you wont find another one as good if you let it go, especially with all the effort you've put into it.
Plus, a scuba diving holiday is gone once you come back off it and will fade into the memory bank, all you'll have is a few photo's, where as that 3dr will be in your garage, something you can touch and is real.
If you want to change a car, sell the focus RS for a daily drive diesel.........

its a beauty of a 3dr, so its got to be worth at least 13k IMO, my only warning is if you do sell you'll never get another unless its better than what you already have. you'll be forever comparing it

Time for a 330D and lots of this:

You could even write Tara a nice sloppy message on the top of a plane for extra brownie points. LOL

Forget about putting it back to standard
If you've got all the bit then sell them separately and sell the car as a going concern with all the bells and whistles it's got on it
Once the passion has gone it won't be back, only the other week I was feeling nostalgic about a faster ford and considered buying an older one to thrash for a week or do until I started to cost it up
I think I stopped when I realised I'd spend half as much going to Vegas and putting it all on black
Give a few days in which to write up your for sale ad and before you post it up think about what you are going to do with all that money and all the stress free motoring you will enjoy

I fall in and out of interest with my Audi, its been a project that long now going on 3yrs that its bound to happen, i just leave it when that happens and within a few weeks or months, something sparks my interest again, usually seeing a nice car in a mag, on the road or watching Top Gear hoon some cars about.
Ive considered selling a couple of times but know i would regret it, unless you have a solid interest in whats going to replace it!

It's nice to have the car sitting in the garage and to have it out on sunny days

Might sound daft but have you tried driving it normally?? I did a 200 mile round trip to Lincoln on Friday and other than the occasional blast I enjoyed the drive without giving it death everywhere.

Matt regarding the sale, as this is your toy you can only replace it with another better toy, selling to buy a run of the mill smoker or lesser car is a bad idea as you'll regret it every time you drive it.
3dr Cosworth in a mint and modified condition are really really thin on the ground Matt so i would strongly advice you kept hold of it if even in storage.
Plus theirs the money mate, i know what it cost you for the underside and can roughly guess how much you have after that and some of those quotes above don't even come close to what it should be worth.
Keep hold mate it's the arse end of the season, put away and bring back out in spring

Matt, putting a thread up doesn't really help tbh bud, i've been there remember, you'll get SO many mixed views and this then gives you a head fook too
imo if you feel the love as folks call it has gone then sell it, your car will fetch strong money mate, sell it whilst they're rising still mate, it'd go quickly imo.
