Helping a friend in looking for a BMW
Seen a few nice ones.. but for really daft prices for what they are, the usual price is between £3750 and £4250 but found one my friend really likes but the guy wants £5500 for it and isnt showing signs of shifting.. theres nothing special about it, nothing extra on it and the mileage is average so not even low. When i put it through an insurance quote comparethemarket came up vehicle estimated value £4100 so really unsure. The car he is after is a bmw 3 series, e46 coupe, 330ci model , M sport from either 2001 2002 or 2003 registration. This one in question is a 2002 model with 120k on clock.
Thanks

If it is overpriced give the bloke your number and tell him to call you for a deal if he can't shift it. He'll probably phone back in a week with a lower price as nobody else had shown a intrest as its too dear
Its been relisted 3 times already.. oddly enough after posting this the auction has been removed.. but he replied saying he still has it :/ ? told him we would give £4250 cash and no more and to look at other examples of the same age and mileage and he would find that my offer was a generous one. I know its a grand less than what he wants but for £1500 more my friend could get an M3 of the same shape/year ! The only other bmws that fetch a bit more than the m sports but less than the m3 is the clubsports! Some people live in a dreamland !
The come in so many different variants, model , interior theres basic cloth, basic leather in black and grey then theres the supportive in black, grey, tan, red etc , engine, alloys. Its hard finding one that ticks all the boxes. He wants a black, with black leather interior (supportive not flat type dakota?) carbon interior trim and mv2 alloys. Seen a few nice black ones - with grey interiors.. this is the first he has stumbled upon that ticks all the boxes in over 40 cars hes looked at online. awkward one !
