Default what engine do i have fiesta or escort?

not sure what engine i have? iv been told its an escort ( engine is not in yet) its got an escort inlet manifold. im hoping its the fiesta so i can run efi, where is the hole for the crank sensor is it next to the crank pulley? with an allen key bolt? if someone could help me would be really appericated cheers

cps looked thru the engine block into the flywheel where the starter usually sits at the front of the block but show a pic of do a search

Picture would help or you can check by looking for the hole in the block. It's on the flywheel side, down by where the starter motor would be (if yours is front mounted).

What shape are the inlet ports on the mounting face? EFi (Fiesta) and MFi (Escort) differ

The CPS hole will be on the flywheel side and be above the starter motor (15mm ish)

no cps hole looks like im going to have to drill one in does anyone know if there is a guide to do this? really dont want to go mfi.

You'll also need an EFi flywheel.

Just get hold of an EFI block to take a template of where the sensor should be and then drill away! It takes a while though but I've known someone who's done it.
