Default st170 inlet manifold control

i have a st170 with a broken lug on the inlet manifold adjuster. can i fix it in one place? if so where? open or closed.

I am sure I have read you can buy the lug from ford and its an uprated one (metal instead of plastic)

you can leave it in the position it is sitting in when the ignition is off as that is the fully open position ie when you are above 5.5k revs......but you're mpg and low down rev range performance will suffer.

thanks. the performance hasnt changed. the lug is available from ford but they say the control box will be fucked, so i need to do a temp repair while customer saves up for new control unit.

Don't know how the can say its not working from (guessing here) a phone call

The lug snapping is apparently a common failure hence the metal one now

Personally I would replace the lug then check it is working. Would almost be 100% certain its fine after the bit is changed over.

Worth a try at least to save buying an over priced circuit board a scaletrix motor from ford!
