Default gt28 turbo what one?

Hi guys im after some advice on the garrett gt28 range. Iv got a rs1600i running a frst engine that lea at devi developments fitted kms management to. The engine is not far from standard but lea said the turbo is shot and needs replacing. After having a quick chat with him he highly recommends using a garrett gt28 and is ment to price one for me, iv been waiting a couple of weeks for him to get back to me but after a few phone calls to him its not hard to see hes snowd under with work.

Can any one tell me what gt28 i need as theres a few types? Im only after around 220bhp. Also lea said you need to change a bit over from the t3 to make it a direct fit?

Cheers rob

lol why you getting a gt28 if you only want 220bhp!! why not stick to a cheap hybrid t3 that will do the job perfect and not complicate things ...

GT25 would be my choice for that power.

As above T3 will suit and do everything you want nicely and still have some scope for improving in the future.

exactly .. whats the point spending all that money on it when a normal t3 rs turbo will dust you .. in understand using a gt28 for say 340bhp with having decent power and low lag.,but at 220bhp i wouldnt bother.. get your self a t3 turbo . spend the money elsewhere like getting a quickshifter , suspension and brakes or gas
