Default 3 Door Cossie Arches.....

After some advice and help please.

I have 8x17 on the fronts with 205/40 tyres
annd
8.5 x 17 on the rears with 215/40 tyres.

I am using Ahmed Bayoo coil spirngs with Konis all round.

However I find that it still catches in places on one side of the rear and on the front.
The passenger side is find and never catches whereas the drivers side does as I can see where it nips the tyre.

On the rear it is sat up quite high, but I suppose under load it sits down more and catches on the front of the rear arch.

Apart from cutting the arches is there anything else I can do?

As for the front I dont know why it would catch only side.

The rears have been set to medium and the fronts are also medium.

Either set the koni's hard... Which I have on the front... Or shave the kit..

My set up is...

Ahmed bajoo springs
Koni fronts shocks
Bilstien rears
Camber shims

8j TSW Hocks front and rear with... 215/40/17... They look really really close to the kit but don't scrub atall cornering or under hard acceleration.

I will set mine to hard at the front

Should I set the rears to hard as well?

And what camber shims?

I am running 8.5 on the rears with 215/40/17.....may try the harder setting.

It only rubbed when I was nailing it hard and went over a bump and it sat down caught it hard on the rear. It caught the front of the rear arches if that makes sense!!

Thanks Jason for the advice mate

Camber shims just make the wheel straight when accelarating...making more tyre contact on the road....

thater great up to a point matt like i say but most who have them think there brilliant for what ever power but there only a improvement over standard setup !

if i ever owned another it would have a fully adjustable beam so on ride hieght it would have the correct camber/castor/toe and fully adjustable front to with correctly valved and sprung , ok it would be a touch harsh but like i say everything is a comprimise

depends you could improve it alot by a beam and 3 door front hubs , then you could go adjustable track control on the front ect and have the konis re valved and better uprated springs then change the suspension by have the car corner weighted with coilovers which are again suited to the car properly with spring rates and damping , stay away from black art kits there a nasty build quality and from what ive seen there valved incorrectly anyway . If its a cheap kit then have the car weighted on all 4 corners and overall weight then give the info to dave lyons at gaz and he will valve and spring it correctly , but if your going the whole hog then its ohlins without doubt

i wondering what those camber shims actually do as they seem to work under load BUT i wonder how much they change the geometry when on off the throttle and cornering ect
