oki so my dads got 2001 focus and failed mot badly need a new car that bullet proof and got space for 4 people and no more than 1500 pound any 1 got any suggestions ?

Failing that, can't go wrong with another Focus or Mondeo. Maybe a Volvo V70? I've heard good things about them.

I bought a Ł250 shitter of a 1998 520 which has done 178k miles and it just sailed straight through another mot without advisory, its the 4th e39 ive owned and ive never had an mot failure.

volvo v70 classic tdi. excellent bodywork, brilliant fuel consumption, audi 5 cylinder turbo diesel engine (much better than later d5 model) loads of room, comfy and an excellent car to travel in whilst fetching cosworth bits and pieces. most have air con and cruise control. i have had 3 in 10 years and only fault is tca's only last around 3 to 4 years but Ł60 each new (volvo). never had any other problems.
