Andrewg resto of my Dads mk2. ***Now going For ReShell !!***
One of my dads old mk2 escorts came up for sale ( prob only the registration ) so went for a look!
Looked ok from the outside but was fairly rough!
But it was cheap so ended up with it !
Was proper. Gp4 bda spec when he had it early 90's
Now it had standard xe 2.0 on carbs

So decided that wasn't going to do !
Got a 280bhp xe 2.3 jenveys on mbe
When I took the engine out I decided to tidy up the engine bay
And also the bulkhead had been heavily modified which would mean I would need to apply for cat 2 papers from msa to continue ralling it!

Nice to see you got another Project going Andrew
What rally do you plan on entering with this and who's your navigator going to be?

So we did the Scottish rally finished. 35th overall out just over 100
Car wasn't pulling the way it should and was jamming in 4 th gear !
Took it to AVA rolling road in Glasgow to get the mapping tidied up, goes much better now
Made 226bhp at the wheels around 260/270 at flywheel
So just the gearbox needed it sorted now. !

Fairly common set up nowadays , fiesta st has reg in tank, focus st doesn't have one the pump speed alters with duty cycle, they have a rail pressure sensor also.
