should go straight in mate, there isnt much difference in strength though i dont think, i would imagine the ratios are very similar in comparison so wouldnt expect much difference in terms of top end a acceleration.

Try LSD if you can get a second hand one, standard ones are stronger to an extent because they havent put up with the stress of high power and are likely to last longer, given you dont constantly blast in in 1st and 2nd all the time, more power more money mate sadly

mine lasted 4 years and had plenty of stick so i reckon a standard box for say 60 quid is ace. just thought a diesel one would be more stronger ! as for lsd cant seem to find one !

I don't know about strength bit the limited info I have leads me to believe the diesel has slightly higher gears so slower acceleration and higher top end! also regarding the differential, they are interchangeable so the LSD can go in a replace a non LSD or you can get a quaife TSD these are really good! I like mine!!!

It is most likely slightly longer than the fiesta box. It is based on figures; However, it can be same at one gear while differ in another gear.

The physical box is no stronger only perhaos the main shaft. Ratios are no good for a petrol turbo though. Only common mod is to fit a lsd an the turbo1st to 4th then the diesel 5th for good economy and motorway cruising

No tougher at all. It's a myth as old as the hills that they are tougher. Would expect ratios to be pretty shitty for your petrol car as well tbh. Get a proper box with an LSD. Buy once and buy right. Just ime of course
