when you replaced all sensors, did you replace the knock sensor? (TDC sensor)

I had exactly the same problem on my 3 door and it kept getting worse until it completely broke down, I couldn't find it at the time as it never broke down where I could test everything, and a short time later it would start, eventually I found it was a poor connection on the phase sensor and a small amount of misalignment with the crank sensor. Took ages to find it. If you have changed all sensors I suspect you have made an error somewhere in the crank and phase sensor installation, I almost gave up with mine but couldnt find anywhere local to help. I ran every test in the book and only stumbled on it when I tried another ecu and it threw up an error code that pointed me in the right direction, best of luck with it, another cause of this could be connections on the fuel pump relay under the dash, they can cause issues as they can get hot when running if not secure.

i have not changed the knock sensor, forgot all about it , iv also disconneted all the sensors at the same time and the coil & injectors still go off on there own, i have a new fuel pump & coil loom on there, i have an old ecu in the garage il put that on over the weekend, see if it makes a differance, oh i havent touched the cts at the back of the head maybe that giving the wrong signal???

I dont think the knock sensor would give these issues, you really need to remove phase sensor and check it over, regap it then gap crank sensor and check the position of crank and phase sensor, I am pretty sure this will be where the problem lies. Also the cts is unlikely to cause these issues.

THey do start to go senile after a while of service - especially if they ever get a bit too hot. I had one that was informing my SECS monitor of readings over 100 degrees - but the fans weren't cutting in! After wasting time chasing a ghost fault in the fan wiring I put a new CTS in things started working a bit more normally!!!

Hi all,
been playing around with the car over the weekend, still no joy it does it all the time now & won't start at all, iv disconneted all sensors & the coil still sparks by it self with number 2 injector going off as well. I can only stop this problem if i turn the key off, disconnect the E.C.U or disconnect the third multi pin connector on the bulkhead (the one nearest the battery). still have no idea what's causing it. iv allso tried another E.C.U with no luck. any more surrgestions???? iv also cleaned & regaped the phase senor.
