Ford Sierra 2000e YB Conversion Alternatives

Iv got a 2000e problem is though the engine is very rattley and on its way out, been thinking of a yb for it but the cost is putting me off, is there any other cheaper alternatives to a yb ??? cheers

id say a nice black top zetec or a 24 valve scorpio engine

Sr20 out of a 200sx and a cossie diff or an rb25 6 cylinder skyline gts engine, or a BMW 328 engine , plenty to choose and all would be a laugh to drive, rs20 would be my choice!

the 8v 2 litre in most sierras has to be the worst engine ford have made, the YB engine although great has been done to death, plenty of V6 power plants out there for not much moneyto plonk a turbo on
