Default Facet Red Top Problem

My Mk3 Escort is running on twin 40's with a facet red top, obviously with it being solid mounted behind the heater inlet on the fire wall its fairly loud. I haven't started the car in a few months and when I turned the ignition on this morning there's no clicking. Engine turns over as it should but no fuel... Any ideas?

have you checked for power at the pump? if no check fuse then relay.

If yes tap it quite hard with a WOODEN mallet squarely to a flat face so as not to dent it. If you are lucky it will loose off any "stiction" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stiction ). try it again if not try another pump.

also try listening to the pump. you should be able to hear it humming
