Default Escort side lamp

Hi all, driving the escort home today and I heard a noise, got home and noticed the drivers front side light hanging out, upon further inspection it seems the plastic has aged and the spring that holds it it place has pulled through, anyone know if these are readily available from ford,
A picture of what's happened.

Cheers, Carl

They are still available but the quality of them is shocking and they look very tacky I have a new pair and they are terrible, they snap like that alot either try stretching the spring before you put it on so there is less tension on it or as said above cable ties.

Well I rang up the dealers and was told they were on back order and may possibly never turn up, with that info it was time to do a bodge, I got the plastic chemical out

Then to make it nice and strong melted in a reinforcing piece of metal

And to top it off it looks as good as new

If any one has a nice intact second hand one please get in touch, many thanks
