Default Cossie 4x4 quick shift Q.

Can you get one that works with the standard gear lever ? I am thinking about getting one, but don't really want to have a "boy racer" stick/gear knob.

Fair enough but like i said they are shite! Been there and done it and the only one that made even the slightest amount of difference was the B+M jobbie which comes with the lever etc...but that was negligable.

Are the 2wd and 4wd boxes that much different in terms of throw ?

Nat's 2wd with quickshift is significantly shorter.

Yes there is a vast difference between the throw on a 2wd box to a 4x4 one! You will never get it like a 2wd regardless of quick shifts etc..

Are you sure you didn't just convince yourself it was a massive improvement as you had just spent 150 odd quid and a day fitting it

A lot of the time it is the bushes in the gear lever cradle thing that are fooked that leads to loads of play!

Got to agree with SPADGE on this one, Got a quickshift in my 4x4 and it made very little difference if any . I know for a fact if i ever bought another cossie with a standard box i would leave it as and wouldnt waste my money on one.

And mine too - shame really, the 2wd shift is so much shorter, kinda fancied that for mine...
