Yeah that sounds about right....filled mine up the other day - £47 - did just under 500 miles on that - 300miles of which was motorway 70-80mph pickin my wheels up...the rest was in rush hour traffic!

I did honestly think that I'd be getting better than that in it - new derv Beemers sound like they do looooads to the gallon..bit too expensive for me though! LOL!

I wonder how they compare to the 1.8 petrol versions?? Anyone else know of any other turbo diesels that are reasonably nippy but better on fuel & that look half decent??

Sounds about right Rhys, am well happy at the moment traveled 100miles to a trackday last Saturday spent most of the day on track and drove home with half a tank

Oh and the best of it was, a load of 200+brake cars couldnt get near me due to the track layout the bags of torque and the set up Go have a play with it on track, you'll be loving her again

Had a few of theese is that a GTi 6? Statements Nah you were dore'ed by a diesel

cheers to Rab for the pics

ive seen figures quoted for them as 42mpg...

i was averaging 38mpg driving local and around...

there is a massive massive difference on a td on how you drive them
ive got a seat altea at the mo (brand spanking) and thats only averaged 38 on thrash!! but driven at 56mph it was doing 58mpg on the clock!!!

oh and my pug 306 is whank whank whank on fuel... its pi55ing out the end of the pump somewhere and running down the front of the engine!! half a tank 156 miles!! the feckers left on the drive now!!
