It starts from cold find but after around 10 seconds is gets lumpy then totaly dies unless you rev it, ive posted a cpl of times but its been pushed down, perhaps the right people wernt on to answer? Just a quick reply is all i ask Im sick to death of this problem, cheeRS. pete

Is it kicking out loads of black smoke as well?

I would say check your wiring on the inlet manifold. The main man Stu from MSD gave me a little guidance as all my origianal connections had been chopped and I had a knightmare recorgnising them.

I ended up doing it from the colour coding from a haynes manuel and job done.

 

Hmm, the loom came from an XR2 running well, i know the guides tell you to put the yellow and black wires to an ignition live but thats wrong, it should be a cranking live, ive tested that and it aint that problem, No, No black smoke, all connections on inlet are right? Any more suggestions, hope stu reads this (Will be going to him for a rebuild next winter cmon where r u )

WOOOOO, Just been reading another post about unmetered air, my breather is broken, the cap that goes on the rocker breather (The 1 with vacume pipe) Is broken off, would this cause my problem? CheeRS. Pete
