Default Multicar Policies - May help you?

Alright all,

Thought I'd put this thread in for everyone whos like me and getting done over by all insurance companies with ridiculous prices.I'm 19 and working full time. I've been driving on a full UK licence for just under two years and have 0 NCB.

I'm currently driving a 1.6L Focus which I'm currently paying £1300 for 10months accelerated NCB (Which I have now lost thanks to some old bint slamming on at a round about). My renewal with my current company was £1250 and is the cheapest I could find.

Now at my household we have 4 cars one being a company car, so I thought I'd give a multicar policy a go see what I go. With Admiral online I was quoted £1000 for my car and £280 for my Dads 4x4 which I was impress with so I decided to take it out as both we're cheaper than our current renewals.

When I rang Admiral to pay for it they did the usual run though the details and generated the quote. They them come back to me with a quote for £260 for my Dad and the even better bit.... £850 for mine

So I think if anyone is struggling with insurance and there are a few drivers in the house its definitely worth a go see what it throws up.

I had an Admiral multicar policy last year and when it came to renewal time they wanted to absolutely bum me! They couldn't even get close to 2 new policies for me and the wife, so be warned!

How much did it go up by? I mean by next year the government have done some work on their new commitment to sort out the insurance companies. To be honest even if its this cheap only for a year I'm not arsed, gives me a chance to build up some NCB for the next policy. Although from other family members and friends this is the first time I've heard bad about them?

Downside it means insuring your car with Admiral who are an incompetent bunch of fucktards. Wouldn't let those clowns insure my toaster. Cheap cover doesn't make for good cover

As said above, Admiral are a bunch of idiots, we had a multicar policy with them and it was nothing but hassle....
The start of it was asking for monthly payments every month even though both policies were paid in full!!!
Apparently their system hadnt recognised the single payment, which caused problems, the worst being when i came to tax my car online 5 months later, the DVLA system said it wasnt insured... Rang Admiral they said your policy was cancelled 5months ago due to non-payment, i explained the earlier issues we both paid in full!! The guy said because its over 21days of cancelling the policy theres nothing he can do and i hadnt been insured for the past 5months, he wouldnt re-instated the policy or refund any money because the system hadnt recognised the single payment....
Total nightmare would never use them again, customer service was shocking!!!
