Default Fiesta mk3 2.0 zetec turbo Fix

This Started as a technical help thread since has changed to a re-build/resto project, the car has just been MOT'd TAX'd but has since gained a engine problem this was discovered when i compresion tested and it said:

cylinder 1-180
cylinder 2-180
cylinder 3-180
cylinder 4-70

made no difference to cyl-4 with oil

the car ran fine didnt smoke or misfire on idle but pounded out blue smoke on boost

2.0 zetec turbo FRST manifolds, T3 turbo, Ported and polished head etc anyways i took the head off today expecting to find a crack in the piston and found nothing just a lighly more black cylinder.

anyways the plan is to fit a larger block breather because for some reason it didnt have one-(this is a donor engine i bought) and will be pushing the pots up tommorow to see if i find any damage the engine will be getting new big-end bearings and rings at the same time aswell as a new headgasket obv as far as the progress goes thats it so far...

below are a few shots of what the mess looks like at the moment cant wait to have it back on the roads this isnt the most expensive of all set-ups but worked pretty damn good! even with that cylinder 4 doing half of what it should lol

http://i1076.photobucket.com/albums/...S/IMG_2196.jpg

Head is waiyting to go to my mate in the machine shop see what he can do looks pretty good though go tosme pics of ports below.

rest of the spec is:

xr2i gone zetec turbo (5th engine its been 1.6efi rst, 1.9efi rst, 1.8zvh, 2.0zvh and now 2.0 zetec turbo)

airtec radiator
airtec intercooler
sierra cossie oil seperator/breather
green injectors
adjustable fuel press regulator
ofab management-i know this is not ideal hope to imprve this also it is running a superchip this all came out of donor car and was mapped to suit engine with a t3 on h/o manifold i think
magnex exhaust system de-cat with silencer and backbox
its also got a few other goodies like the filters etc and water jets soaking the rad and cooler using washer bottle as reservoir for water and ice if i want..dump valve (which was needed to stop boost hoses popping off and sounds good lol) sparco strut brace, spax on rears front were replaced for g-max springs as shocks as spax rode to low oter than that its had body kit skimmed into panels held up pretty well gt a 1.5 inch crack on front wing but will re-fill this once engine is done re-sprayed in radaint red +01 radiant supplied by Bodycraft Bushey painted by me never sprayed before only ever been apprentice/student ...currently just finished motorsport degree so thought i give the summer project 'thing a go' will post pictures of pre-paint, primer and top coat later this was done last year......and will add pics of pistons shortly probably gonna find no4 with a cuople of cracked rings or gland damage will also be stripping and re-building head after a wash at the machine shop....and the work begins

also want to relocate battery to boot or rear footwell so that i can re-mount airfiter and oil seperator

since being out of a laptop i was unable to upload pictures but now i can, since last post the car was finished and drove for 15 days until it went pop!, took it out with a tuner on the motorway to check air fuel ratios were running correctly with a innovate lambda probe, from what it was reading the car was running very well!, however both suspected slight detonation in the low revs, it was the first time the car felt a bit of heat since being run in and didnt cope so well, kncking the glands off piston 4!, so i am out of a car! but have bought a new silvertop engine 2.0 60k automatic to start over, i have stripped this engine and all is looking good so far, i am going to use my original worked cylinder head....illlet the pictures do the talking im working on getting as much useful ones up as possible.....i plan to go megasquirt with this now i have been qouted a affordable Ł400 ish!
