Im getting ready to put my car up for sale but the engine bay lets it down massively,

Whats the best stuff to clean the engine bay, I was going to buy Gunk.
The bay and engine are in a state, Ive not bothered cleaning in there in the 2 years Ive owned it.

Then once degreased what product should I use to give a nice finish on the plastic covers and air box?

After degreasing use aerospace 303 on the plastics,swissvax motorshine is also good for hoses and wiring.

 

I normally use Meguiars Detailer Super Degreaser if really bad, if not i just use AD berry blast and then to dress the plastic's either Dodo juice fantastic plastic or Meguiars Hyper-Dressing*

I would recommend trying Bilthambers water base degreaser Surfex HD . Also a really good work towel and a brush to get in the awkward bits. To dress the engine bay ive only used aerospace 303 not felt the need to try another yet.
