Default Any Info: FOCUS COSWORTH DEVELOPMENT CAR, 2300cc

Anyone got any info on this car?

THE CAR IS APPARENTLY A ONE-OFF, UNIQUE, US SPEC DEVELOPMENT CAR. OWNED AND CREATED BY COSWORTH. IT'S AN 04 PLATE, LEFT HAND DRIVE AND ALTHOUGH IT'S FULLY PREPPED FOR TRACK DAYS IT'S ALSO FULLY ROAD LEGAL.

just an american focus SVT with UK headlamps then modified, ST170 wheels etc

is Cosworth on the V5 or documented, would be interesting if it is

still, the T19/250 focus arent worth a lot or regarded even though they were bonafied development RS cars

It was sold by Cosworth to a private owner.

It's basically just got a ported head, the manifold like the Fiesta ST's use from JamSport and a few other little bits. Deffo NOT a Cosworth

It doesn't have a Cosworth engine in it, it's got new school American crap bolted onto it that says Cosworth developed by the now decidedly soft American Cosworth. It's not a Cossie, simple as.

Yes, but its Cosworth America. It's on a 2.3 engine, FWD and only has a few select bits added to it. I mean, you don't see the Fiesta ST boys running excess of 300bhp with the added Cosworth inlet say they have a Cosworth engine do you?

It's nice nonetheless, but if you say it's a Cosworth and open the bonnet, then you have to go through the explination of what it actually is because it doesn't look like what people expect.

Are you buying it? I think in the past it's been up for around 5.5-6k. Worth it considering the bits on it It's a little more unqiue than the T series development Focus', even without a turbo

It comes up as Make: Ford Model: Unavailable, Engine Size: 2300cc

According to a quick websearch it was last for sale at Ł5995 and it is a Cosworth tuned 240bhp 2.3 duratech in there.

Would be nice if it said focus cosworth on the log book though!

like i said before its a US Focus SVT, probebly 2.3 duratec (fiesta ST style duratec, not ST170 zetec "duratec" ) and indeed developed by Cosworth.

ugly as sin but if it is a 240bhp 2.3 duratec, will be an awesome drive!

that is totaly true.......... well some of it

the YAA cosworth was a first go at 16v pinto off the shelf conversion, gradualy moving onto what was nailed into the production Sierra Cosworth, some 8 attempts later :P

same could be said about the Astra GTE 16v

and the mercedes 2.3/2.5 16v

and the Audi RS4 B5 2.7TT

the sierra was purely a badge whore, plenty others did it without going all Gucci on us
