Hi guys can anyone reccomend me an alarm as I will need a new one quite soon. In the past I have had a Clifford and toad both gave me a couple of problems due partly to the installation. So reccomendations for the alarm and good fitters around the Bristol area.

Hi Paul, what ever you do do NOT deal with this Bristol based lot, they fitted my new Clifford alarm in may 2011 and i turned up to collect it from the bodyshop where they fitted it, and it was so well alarmed it wouldnt start!
After ringing the bloke and him being VERY rude he came over and made it work, a month later i took the dash out to do some work only to find twisted together wires etc etc, and proximity sensors which didnt work (which i had to pay to have adjusted?!?! WTF) so i re-fitted a alarm which i paid £500 to have fitted again......dont get stung like i did mate......

Hi - I can agree with what you are saying as my brother has got his own alarm company in birmingham and has had to go to bristol to sort some alarm systems out - when people have had to get in touch with the manufactures or uk wholesalers (Such as armourauto) but can highly recommend a viper 480xv as it is the only alarm with a 3. immobilser on the market at the moment.

Yeah I manged to find it elsewhere queen Charlotte street in the centre of Bristol. Just been looking at the viper mentioned above and the toad interactive one lots of choice lol. This is another place I was thinking of not the same company I don't think http://www.bvsltd.co.uk/

So to clarify they are the same company. This is why I asked as I have had alarms fitted before and had problems.
