These are a pain and can have devastating consequences when they go!

Luckily I found some hose that is high rated and OPA I used, imo it's probably a good idea to replace it every so often (treat it as a servicable item as such).

Your best off getting the genuine part from Ford as it's reinforced and resistant to fuel, i.e. you can't just use any bit of hose!

This amongst a whole lot of other things were revised on the 4x4, so much so the reg is screwed to the rail on the 4x4 which is a far better design!

I bought some fuel hose from halfords with cotton overbraid but cant for the life of me remember what size i bought now!! but ive just measure the outside diameter of my spare fuel rail and its about 7.5mm so i probably would have used the 7mm one for a snug fit.

Never had any problems with it but as martin said its a good idea to replace it now and again!!

I have just done mine, got fuel injection hose from here
http://www.fuelpumpsonline.co.uk/8mm...hose-371-p.asp

About 7 quid posted for a metre, and the fuel injection pipe cips(14 - 16 mm) for it from here
http://www.smak.co.uk/Hose-Clips-and...&limitstart=50

Or you can still get the genuine hose from burtons here

the burton one says an ID of 7.3 so i was close!!

Im sure the quality is good, but wern't the original hoses covered with a cotton overbraid?!

Im sure the Burton one isnt, just looks like a standard fuel hose?!

I'd rather buy a meter of an after market one like the sytec one you listed then spend £15 on a small bit like the one from burton!!

By what they are saying it's OE, so unless Ford have changed the design?
