hello guys ..i see that day by day head 4x4 are become rare ..i was wondering if someone in uk with foundry and cnc lathe can produse again the head copy from the original.. it will be a big cost for everyone ? in uk i am sure they have the knolege to produse them they have the best machines for that things ..maybe mk can finish the head with the great cnc ?

 

Im not convinced they are yet hard enough to get hold of that there would be enough demand TBH.

I may be missing something here but don't Burton and cosworth sell new heads based on the later 4x4 design with the turbo lugs for dampers..

 

maybe they are stock from old days ? cosworth stop produse them ?

they are not modified as such they are better made and can be ordered with bigger ports so probably work out cheaper than buying a used head then having it modified

 

go direct to the source, rik wood in stockport supplies them in any spec you want, he has millions of pounds worth of cnc machinery to make a perfect copy and better.

his heads are on ebay i think.

burton probably source them from him anyway and at a fraction at what they charge................ jesus

when they was on the production the cost was 1500 pounds i think ..3500 for it very high

 

1500 is around what rik wood charges mate so not a million miles out like burton

 

they still making those or is last stock ?buston is expensive and not standar but with biger ports and etc

 

i know him he do great work . but standar like 139 height a brand new head is out of production any more or they still making ?

sounds good crowson, apparently the women have good quality cossy head.
