after hunting for a breather/smoke issue i discovered the rocker gasket be at fault. my question is which do i get. cork or rubber? im at work in an hour hence the quick reply as im gonna order before i leave.


anyway i retorqued the rocker cover bolts (as a temp fix as they were loose!!) and it sorted the idle and im sure it cured the smoke on overrun. is this possible? or is it in my head? im sending my other turbo for overhaul anyway but im pretty sure it remedied it. as the gasket is fucked i have the bad idle back and smoke although in both cases its intermittent. thanks in advance matt btw car is an rst' bonus)

 

What does it come with as standard?

The rubber ones have been known to perish..

 

mine has a cork one which is dropping to pieces. i beleive they should be changed regular anyway. at a fiver a go im not fussed.
